WinterWonderGrass at Palisades Tahoe

WinterWonderGrass Lake Tahoe

WinterWonderGrass California scheduled April 1-3, 2022

Bonfire Entertainment solidifies the triumphant return of WinterWonderGrass California, taking place April 1-3, 2022 at Palisades Tahoe, located in the North Lake Tahoe region of California. Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows) has already seen over three feet of snow this week, paving an ideal start to the WinterWonderGrass season. Music, brews and mountains have always collided at WinterWonderGrass, and WWG CA 2022 promises to be no different.

Weekend passes to the festival, as well as Tram to Table Dinner tickets, are on sale now.

"…humbling and inspiring that the entire 2020 lineup, except one, are all returning for 2022."

Scotty Stoughton, festival founder and producer

Perseverance

The team at Bonfire Entertainment knows the embodiment of this word well. After the global pandemic put a hold on music-including two of WinterWonderGrass's 2020 stops-Bonfire Entertainment re-imagined what COVID-era music gatherings looked like. Whether it was the very special river voyages of RiverWonderGrass over the summers of 2020 and 2021, or two days of Billy Strings in Buena Vista, CO for the first annual Renewal this past September, Bonfire Entertainment has reiterated music gatherings can take place, safely, outdoors year-round, and that they do it best.

Billy Strings, The Infamous Stringdusters, The California Honeydrops and more

"Some things may have changed, but thankfully, some things have not. It's incredibly humbling and inspiring that the entire 2020 lineup, except one, are all returning for 2022," remarks festival founder and producer, Scotty Stoughton. "For the artists to make that kind of commitment is unheard of and a huge testament to the love and enthusiasm that these bands have for WWG and Tahoe. Billy Strings will be doing two sets, The Infamous Stringdusters are coming back, and The Devil Makes Three will be replaced by The California Honeydrops. The entire WWG team is feeling blessed, and grateful, to be able to return to a place that feels like home!"

The highly-anticipated lineup from the postponed 2020 festival has rolled over to 2022, and is already nearing sell out. Today, in addition to those rolled over bands, WWG CA is excited to welcome The California Honeydrops as the third and final headliner. Fans in attendance will also be dazzled by two sets of Billy Strings, along with performances by The Infamous Stringdusters, Peter Rowan, Keller & The Keels, Fruition, The War & Treaty, Brothers Comatose, Kitchen Dwellers, Della Mae, Lindsay Lou, Larry Keel Experience, Town Mountain, Trout Steak Revival, Midnight North, Cris Jacobs, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, Old Salt Union, Rapidgrass, TK & The Holy Know Nothings and Twisted Pine. Special performances are also scheduled from the collaborative, rotating powerhouse, WinterWonderWomen featuring Bridget Law and Lindsay Lou. Additionally, Pickin' on the Dead will make their WinterWonderGrass return.

The California stop of WinterWonderGrass is known to sell out in advance so interested attendees are urged to grab their tickets soon. Fans can also sign up to snag sold out VIP tickets via the festival's official fan-to-fan ticket exchange, powered by Lyte.

As with past WinterWonderGrass California events, a free show in the Village will kick off the festivities on Thursday, March 31st from 2-5 PM. A separately-ticketed Tram to Table Dinner* featuring music by Keller Williams will take place from 5-9 PM. The dinner includes a 10-minute ride in a panoramic tram car up to High Camp, where breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe are abundant.

Stay tuned to the festival's official website and Facebook page for updates, including Grass After Dark* announcements, single-day ticket offerings, beer partners and more. Tickets and more information on travel packages available now via winterwondergrass.com.

*Please note, Palisades Tahoe lift tickets, Tram to Table Dinner tickets and Grass After Dark tickets are not included in regular festival admission and must be purchased separately.

COVID Protocol

WinterWonderGrass is aware of the ever-evolving tide that comes with presenting music festivals during a pandemic and will comply with all county and state recommendations. More information will be shared as the event grows closer via winterwondergrass.com.

About WinterWonderGrass

Music, winter sports, craft beer, fresh eats, and family is what makes up the three days of the WinterWonderGrass Festival. With deep roots in Colorado and California, the event has established itself as a leader in the winter lifestyle culture where the quality of experience outweighs the notion of quantity. WinterWonderGrass is an intimate gathering where inspiration and connection sit at its core. Our community is focused on sustainability, local non-profit support, nurturing the next generation and truly backing the arts.

Since its inception, the festival continues to cultivate the relationship between nature, roots music and community. It has established itself as a vehicle for inspiration, a place where open hearts and minds-along with a dissolved illusion of separation-creates a true, authentic platform for artists, vendors, attendees and the planet to connect as one.

The outdoor event takes place at the base of its hosting ski areas, with an open-air outdoor mainstage and three side-stages, which are heated and covered. Every year, WinterWonderGrass hosts an on-site coffee bar and complimentary beer tasting. The event is also kid-friendly, complete with a kid's zone and free admission for kids 12 and under.
