Experienced city manager to take helm March 14

Orange, Calif.- At their March 8 meeting, the Orange City Council voted unanimously to approve a three-year contract with Rob Houston as City Manager of Orange starting on March 14, 2022.

The City Council selected Rob based on his solid track record of success and his ability to bring a fresh perspective to the City organization. As City Manager, Rob will also embrace the traditions and historic legacy that is the hallmark of the Orange community.

Most recently serving as the City Manager of Fountain Valley, Rob has over 25 years of public service experience at the federal, state, and local government levels. Prior to his current position, he worked for the cities of Newport Beach and Carlsbad.

Mr. Houston takes over from Tom Hatch, who has been serving as Interim City Manager since October 2021.
