Laguna Beach adds new In-House Ambulance Transport Service

Service scheduled to begins July 1

Laguna Beach, Calif.- The City of Laguna Beach has received the first of two NEW Ambulances as part of the City's new In-House Ambulance Transport Service, which will start on July 1, 2022.

The City-operated service will provide two dedicated ambulance vehicles, 24-hours a day staffed with two EMT ambulance operators and dispatched by the Laguna Beach Emergency Communications Center.

The full-time ambulances will be placed at Fire Station #1 (501 Forest Ave) and Fire Station 4 (31646 2nd Ave) to cover North and South Laguna Beach.

Dispatch Center

The Laguna Beach Public Safety Communication Center is the primary answering point for all 9-1-1 emergency calls and non-emergency calls along with being responsible for dispatching police, fire, marine safety, parking control, animal control, and public works. The Communication Center is comprised of a Support Services Supervisor, three Senior Public Safety Dispatchers, eight Public Safety Dispatchers.

The Laguna Beach Public Safety Communication Center answers an average of 1,200 9-1-1 calls and an additional 2,650 business line calls per month.
